BREAKING NEWS:A THREE MAN ELECTION PETITIONS TRIBUNAL HAS GRANTED THE PDP, ATIKU ABUBAKAR ACCESS TO ALL ELECTORAL MATERIALS USED IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

A three-man panel of the Presidential Elections Petition Tribunal in Abuja has granted the PDP, Atiku access to All Electoral Materials in the presidential elections.
The three man panel headed by Justice Abdul Aboki and the other two  Peter Ige and Emmanuel Agim on Wednesday heard the ex-parte motion filed by the PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, seeking an order granting them access to check and inspect the electoral materials used for the February 23 presidential elections.

An ex-parte motion at the Court of Appeal in Abuja was filed by Abubakar Atiku asking for orders of the court to allow him to access and inspect all the documents used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the presidential election that he was a candidate and that he claimed was marred with untold and unprecedented rigging.

The ex-parte motion prayed for an order compelling INEC to allow them to inspect the register and other vital documents used in the conduct of the election unhindered.
In the delivered ruling, by the three man panel, INEC was ordered to allow the appellant access to all electoral material to enable the applicant file and maintain his petition according to the electoral laws.
However, the court turned down the prayers 3 to 5 of the petition which requested scanning and forensic audit. Stating that a forensic audit was not covered under the terms envisaged by section 151 of the electoral act.
The panel unanimously agreed to the ruling, hence the motion was granted partly by the panel.

BREAKING NEWS:HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF AS ATIKU AND PDP FILE EXPARTE MOTION COMPELLING INEC TO RELEASE ELECTION MATERIALS

                                Waziri of Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the Waziri of Adamawa, have filed a motion to compel the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to release all the materials that were used for the February 23 presidential election, for inspection following the disputed claims on the outcome of the exercise.

An ex-parte motion was lodged before the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on Tuesday, the Tribunal will conduct its proceedings at the Court of Appeal Headquarters in Abuja. In the motion ex-parte dated March 4, Atiku and the PDP, applied for leave of the tribunal to allow them to see and inspect the Voters Register, the Smart Card Reader Machines, Ballot Papers and other vital documents that were used in the conduct of the presidential election. They equally prayed the tribunal to compel the electoral body to allow their agents to scan and make photocopies of vital documents used in the conduct of the election, for the purpose of establishing alleged infractions during the elections.

The Applicants, through their lawyer, Chief Chris Uche, SAN, told the elections tribunal that the prayer sought against INEC was for the purpose of filing and maintaining an election petition they intend to lodge against the outcome of the 2019 Presidential Election. The motion ex-parte motion was supported with a 12 paragraphed affidavit that was deposed to by one Col. Austin Akobundu, rtd, the director of Contact and Mobilization of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council.

As at the time of reporting no date has yet been fixed for hearing of the motion which has INEC, President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the 1st to 3rd Respondents.
The suit will continue once a date is fixed for the hearing challenging the presidential election results of Saturday 23rd February.

If we recall the last presidential election in 2011 was also challenged in court by the then CPC party when PDP won the elections that ushered in GEJ but in 2015 this was not the case as the incumbent president then Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was defeated by Muhammadu Buhari of the APC in what was a landslide victory accross the states of the federation and he immediately conceded to defeat and congratulated the then candidate of the APC.

LOVE AND FAMILY :NATIONAL EMERGENCY FEMALES NOW THE BREAD WINNERS IN MANY HOMES

EVERYDAY WOMAN

The worth of the female in a relationship especially the institution of marriage is very strategic in determining the extent or level of success that such a family will enjoy .
In the garden of Eden for instance God made the Man and out of him the female was formed which means that the woman is an integral part of the man and as such a man is incomplete without the woman and set them above every living thing that was created. God went even further and put the man in charge but mandated the man to love his wife as Christ loves the church the body of Christ as he is the head and the fullness of the Godhead dwells inside us bodily.

Today we know that the greatest commandments are love of God and love of neighbor with these basic commandments the world Will be a better place to live in and flourish peaceful amongst all God's creation. Unfortunately today, marriages have suffered because some men have neglected the basic instruction handed to the man to love his spouse regardless, unconditional and unwavering love not a function of the prevailing conditions in the home or in the economy.

The female is a vessel that incubates like an incubator she warehouses all the conditions, harassment, long-suffering, starvation, beating and assault in some cases all in the name of love and obedience. Little wonders why a lot of women today have become bread winners in their homes just because they want to make up for the lack or inadequacies of the Men but all these notwithstanding has not exempted them from the shenanigans and idiosyncrasies of the Men who have now turned to overgrown babies still sucking breasts even at old age.

It has become a national emergency as the trend is on the increase and except something urgent is done whether as a spiritual reawakening or as a national intervention to ensure that our men are gainfully employed to restore their self-esteem, pride and reduce the rate of inferiority complex that has made so many of the men frustrated and thereby turning on their spouses who have now become their punching bags or at best an object of sex and child birth.

A woman as an incubator haven endured all the hardship if nothing is done on time may break and give in usually with a negative rebound and will unleash on the man venomous character very antagonistic and cancerous always in opposition of the man, at that point the society begins to shout that the woman is disrespectful and lacks proper home training forgetting those years of agony were she was an incubator and taking in all the insults and deprivations from the man

The men must stand tall and be a pillar in their homes having at the back of their minds that the female spouses was given to them as a gift of trust just like the children are, hence they have to be taken care of, remember the Bible says that he that finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. So Men should see the female as the God’s instrument of favor in the homes as they carry the unction of favor and the enormous power wielded by a praying woman cannot be overemphasized, the power of a praying woman in the homes open every door and sets aside every gate of brass,  love your wife and care for her and surely your home will receive favor as it is a sovereign declaration of the almighty God.

NEWS UPDATES: THE PEOPLE DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP) DENIES ANY DEMAND TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON THE ELECTION RESULTS….

Latest news reaching us reveals:

The PDP in a statement signed by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan yesterday, said the former Vice President “had not, and will never, make or accept any condition from President Buhari regarding the February 23, 2019 Presidential election.

The statement read: “The Buhari- led Presidency and the All Progressives Congress, APC, know that their electoral robbery cannot stand before any noble justices and are now attempting to use all sorts of blackmail and shenanigans to derail the quest by Nigerians to reclaim the stolen mandate at the tribunal. “However, let it be known to President Buhari and the APC that Atiku Abubakar and the PDP are standing shoulder to shoulder with Nigerians in this collective determination to take back the stolen mandate and we are not ready for any form of negotiation with anybody on this matter.

“Our party and candidate remain committed to the huge sacrifices made by Nigerians in ensuring our collective victory as delivered at the polling units across the country. We are mindful of the pains that Nigerians are passing through since the subversion of their will at the polls; we are sensitive to the expectations that millions of compatriots place on our shoulders in this struggle and we will never let Nigerians down.

"kola Ologbondiyan"

Earlier as reported by the vanguard:

Gen.Abdulsalam Abubakar led members of the NPC committee to a meeting with Atiku and his running mate, Mr. Peter Obi in Abuja yesterday night. The Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in last week’s election, Alh. Atiku Abubakar who has openly expressed displeasure and condemned the last election that took place on Saturday the 23rd February 2019  has presented a six-point demand to the Federal Government and President Muhammadu Buhari as reported by the vanguard earlier today.

The demands include:

-the unfreezing of opposition politicians’ bank accounts.
- The demilitarisarion of subsequent polls.
-That accreditation of voters should take place before voting in subsequent elections.
- That there should be no deployment of the military in subsequent elections.
- That INEC should open its back end server to all participating parties.
-That there should be a release of all politicians detained illegally by FG.

A source at the meeting disclosed that Atiku “warned that tensions are building up in the land.”
The entourage made up of the NPC team included Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Bishop Kukah and Rev. Fr Atta Barkindo.
Atiku and his team informed the group that the election of Feb 23 was the worst in 20 years  since the country returned to democratic rule. and that  it was marked by brazen rigging with no consideration to the will of the people. They PDP listed the following as issues they had with the Presidential polls:

-Deployment of the military was unconstitutional and in breach of Supreme Court judgment.
-That resultantly, a lot of malpractices between the INEC officers, the ruling party and the military took place to undermine the votes/voters of the PDP.
-That there was collaboration between INEC and FG to undermine the sanctity of the votes of the people.
-That this is the worst election in 20 years. No improvement from 2015.

However we received feedback that Gen. Abdusalam and his team pleaded with the PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to avoid anything that could jeopardize the nation’s peaceful co-existence.
The NPC is expected to meet President Muhammadu Buhari a critical stakeholder

NATIONAL MENACE: WINNING ELECTIONS AT ALL COST SYNDROME OF NIGERIAN POLITICIANS A DO OR DIE AFFAIR

The winning at all cost of the Nigerian politics have taken a scary and life threatening dimension ,election in Nigeria and some parts of Africa has become a do or die affair where the winner takes all has developed a hydra headed approach and calls for serious concern.

The dynamics of electing leaders was in the past based on merit and performance as the candidates understood the essence of been elected a leader of a particular set of people with common interests and goals however in recent times this is not the case in the society.

Political appointments these days are seen as the avenue to make quick money that has little or no accountability to the people that put them in office, quite often than not the people have been betrayed by the same people that they elected into office immediately they are sworn in. embezzlement and self-aggrandizement is the order of the day. people have sold their conscience to mammon and the "god of money" how unfortunate.

The political and moral decadence is alarming and on the increase, a rising trend has been observed amongst the populace and the political elites . Political godfathers go all the way to anoint their godsons to office in a bid to be tools and puns that they will eventually use to control happenings and dictate the way the office they occupy will be run, all expenses are paid during the campaigns ,moneys are disbursed to all and sundries ,people are mobilized to ensure that their political prodigy assumes that office , because moneys are involved the voters get bribed with a few Naira notes usually less than 30$ to sell their conscience like the proverbial Esau in the bible that sold his birth right just for a bowl of porridge.

With this menace growing amongst the politicians ,of a truth the people are tired of shedding of blood of innocent Nigerians especially during and after elections all in a bid to grab power by all means. we have seen many lose their lives, some lose their limbs ,eyes, and some vital organs on their bodies once election approaches for all manners of reasons including rituals, kidnapping for ransom and hostage taking etc.

The fundamental principles of our corporate existence must be entrenched on the tablets of our hearts as a nation ,our values and morality must not be left behind in nation development as cliché as it may sound but the gospel of love amongst the people and being your neighbors keepers cannot be overemphasized because where there is love the act of murder, killings ,kidnappings will not be an option to be explored by politicians.

Charity they say begins at home, the upbringing of our children is very paramount to determine the type of society to be expected in the nearest future, love of God and love of neighbor must be thought by all and sundries , morals in our schools, churches, mosques must be taken very seriously and a compulsory part of our daily lives.

On the other hand the politicians of the day should not see politics as a do or die affair or as a get rich scheme but rather as a means of serving the people, as a call to leadership and above all as the contribution of their quota to mother nature. Our society has to be sanitized and the cries of innocent bloods that have been hitherto shed all over the country will no longer pollute the land and usher in a new era of peace, love and prosperity.

BREAKING:THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT DEPLOYS MANY OBSERVERS AHEAD OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

The Government of Britain deploys over 60 observers in 15 states across Nigeria for the general elections.
The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Liang, said this in a video that was shared on Friday while encouraging all  Nigerians ahead of the elections to go out and vote on Saturday.
She said despite the disappointment after the elections were postponed last week, Nigerians should not be discouraged to go all out and exercise their franchise through the ballot box by voting massively.
She rightly said that:
“Tomorrow is polling day again; we recognize the huge disappointment of Nigerians since they woke up last Saturday to hear the news that the elections have been postponed, but your vote still counts,” she said.
“It’s your chance to make a difference; not just to vote for the politicians of your choice, but also to play your part in Nigeria’s emerging democracy; helping to consolidate the progress since 2015.
“As a long-time friend and partner in Nigeria, we will be playing our part, we will have 60+ observers in 15 states around the country observing the election.
“And, of course, it is very important that INEC remains as the impartial umpire for this election.
“So please do go out and exercise your democratic right to vote. We wish all Nigerians all the very best for the election day”.

SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA MR FEMI FALANA EXPLODES OVER POSTPONEMENT OF 2019 ELECTIONS

Mr. Femi Falana, SAN, today, lambasted the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over the ban on campaign for votes saying the limitation of campaign imposed by INEC should be reversed without any delay says the HUMAN rights activist,

In a release, Mr. Falana, who cited relevant sections of the Electoral Act, said: By virtue of section 26 of the Electoral Act an election may be postponed if a serious breach of peace or violence is likely to occur or on account of natural disaster or other emergencies.

“Furthermore, section 105 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria provides that if the federation is at war in which the territory of  the country is physically involved and the President considers that it is not practicable to hold elections the national assembly may pass a resolution to postpone the election. And such postponement shall not be more than six months at any one time.” Besides, he said: “The shameful postponement of the 2019 general election would not have occurred if the Federal Government had unbundled the INEC and ensured the practice of internal democracy in  the political parties. It is public knowledge that both APC and PDP have not committed themselves to electoral reforms. Hence, they have conveniently forgotten that the late President Umaru Yar’Adua had admitted that the 2007 general election  which produced his regime was highly flawed. Since the system will continue to produce flawed elections all democratic forces should mount sufficient pressure on the Federal Government to implement the recommendations of the aforesaid electoral reform panels, once the 2019 rescheduled elections are concluded.

“Meanwhile, INEC which  has shifted the general election by 7 days is alleged to have votes. With respect, INEC has not paid attention to  Section 99 of the Electoral Act which provides that the period of campaigning in public by political parties shall end 24 hours before polling day.” Since elections have been shifted the period of campaign has also shifted and will end 24 hours to the new polling day. “Therefore, the limitation of campaign imposed by INEC should be reversed without any delay. Furthermore, INEC should comply with all valid and subsisting court orders with respect to the candidates sponsored by political parties for the general elections.   Otherwise, the courts may annul some of the elections conducted by INEC on grounds of exclusion of qualified candidates.”  so he submitted
